Did you know that Mental Illness is the leading cause for time off work? Yet a lot of phone based/ online insurance companies won’t cover you for it?

I was scrolling through my facebook feed last night and I came across a post made by The Black Dog Institute*. I was staggered by their statistic saying that t Mental Illness is the leading cause for time off work. Mental Illness can include an array of conditions such as depression, mood disorders, anxiety, stress, and it affects a lot of Australians.
A large proportion of my client base has had a form of ‘mental illness’ in their time. And let’s ...Continue Reading →
The attached article below just hit my inbox. I’m not really surprised by it, however it shocks the living daylights out of me that Coles (yes, the Supermarket) can sell or provide Life Insurance to its customers. ARE YOU SERIOUS???!!
The article outlines certain benefits that you are eligible for such as:
– Price beat guarantee
– FlyBuys points
– 60 sec quotes
– Up to $1 million of cover (no financials or medicals of course)
and a few other little perks.

You may remember last July I held an event for the ladies about having a back up plan. My guest speaker was Dylan Shiel (player #5 for Greater Western Sydney GIANTS – AFL), and a client of mine. The theme of the night was around the idea that you need to have some sort of back up plan. This is the question (obviously articulated in the Queen’s English…) that I ask my clients and prospects when they tell me they already have insurance in place, or question why they should engage my services. There is nothing wrong if you are already protected… in fact, I’m very happy to hear that people have taken the time to protect themselves from the unknown, but my concern is around people who have either lost contact or ...Continue Reading →
This week I came across the most amazing man (lets call him Mike) who needs my help, and I wanted to share his story with you because he is an absolute inspiration.
I received an email from a client of mine asking me for a favour. She said in her email that a friend of hers needs some help with his Insurance inside his company’s Super fund. I knew straight away that this was going to be a case where this ...Continue Reading →
It is almost frightening to listen to the news on a Sunday morning when virtually every weekend there is a story about a coward punch. The Australia Day long weekend saw two more reports from Orange and Bondi Beach. From all accounts these young victims were innocent by-standers … and even if they weren’t I can’t think of any sort of behaviour which would deserve a coward punch and subsequently causing great harm to the victim or even death.
On a ...Continue Reading →
Welcome back to the New Year! I can’t believe it is almost Australia Day already. 2014 has certainly started to fly by!
You may remember one of my previous blogs before Christmas where I suggested you book your appointment with me sooner rather than later, so that we can get your NY resolutions up and running.
I have had quite a few new clients book appointments for this reason, so it has been a great start to the year.
One thing that I ...Continue Reading →
