As you would have seen in my end of year update, Monarch has expanded! I’m so excited to welcome Brett Puxty and Francis Coggan to the team, as well as announce that Aleksandra is stepping into an even bigger role. Why the expansion? It ultimately comes back to why I started Monarch Advisory Group in the very beginning, which was to help more people achieve financial security. Now, I’m proud to say the Monarch team can make an even bigger difference.
But as an existing client, you’re probably wondering what’s in it for me?
Well, for starters, you can expect an even better service experience. As authorised representatives of Monarch Advisory Group, Brett and Francis will be working directly with clients to understand their personal goals, lifestyle aspirations and changing personal circumstances. Naturally, more team members means we can share the load when things get busy, but it also means more sets of eyes looking out for your best interests. We want you to feel confident that all your needs are taken care of in one place, by a team who all believe in putting clients first.
You’ll also benefit from a broadened advice experience. By combining our expertise, we can bring even more to the table in terms of financial strategies that will help you reach your goals, protect your wealth and maintain your lifestyle.
What won’t change is the Monarch approach to advice, which is all about really getting to know our clients – I’ve always felt incredibly privileged to be allowed to share in my clients’ life journeys and this is a feeling Brett and Francis also share.
With this in mind, I thought now was the perfect time to help you get to know our new team members a little better.
Let’s start with Brett Puxty, who is our Senior Financial Planner. Brett has completed his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, as well as the Life Risk Specialist and Self-Managed Super Fund accreditations. Although he looks young, Brett has actually been in financial services since 2001 and has been a financial adviser since 2003. He has joined Monarch as an equity partner, so he not only brings over 16 years’ experience in assisting clients with their wealth and protection needs, we also get to welcome Brett’s existing clients to the Monarch family – great to have you all on board!
With a wife and three teenage boys, Brett doesn’t have a lot of spare time, but whenever he gets the chance, you can find him out on the waterways, boating with the whole family. Oh, and being from the lower Hunter region, he is also partial to a tasty glass of red!
Monarch has also appointed Financial Adviser, Francis Coggan. Francis started in financial services as an accountant, moving into a paraplanning role where he structured strategic advice for financial advisers to deliver to their clients. He holds a Bachelor of Business, as well as an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and the Self-Managed Super Fund accreditation. Essentially, this means he has a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of financial planning, which is very much part of the Monarch advice proposition.
When he’s not crafting financial plans for our clients, Francis loves playing soccer and coaches his local team. He is also an avid long-distance hiker and his ultimate goal is to hike the Pacific Crest Trail which spans 4,265 kilometres!
Last, but certainly not least, the expansion has led to the need for a full-time support role and I’m delighted that Aleksandra has agreed to take on the role of Compliance Manager.
Once again, if you do have family, friends or colleagues in the Newcastle/Hunter region who would like an introduction to our team there, please let me know – I’d be more than happy to arrange this. And, as always, if you have any questions or would like to contact any members of the Monarch team, feel free to drop us a line or give us a call.
